If the former President of Cote D,Ivoire dies and the family comes to Otumfuor with such a powerful delegation, then Asante is truly a nation and to hear from them that Asanteman has given Cote D,Ivoire two Presidents, and call him their King then its huge

These Baoules are not Asantes, they have a different language. There's a historic ties between the Oyoko Royal family from Asante dating back some 800 years because they lived amongst each other. But because of the ongoing conflicts in the area in those days caused by the very same people they made a decision to relocate like so many others. Some Asante historians might brag that the Asantes defeated everyone and that's how everyone fled the area but do not let anyone fool you. It was a decision that led to their departure from that environment because many did not like the war. Also the name Asante only came to light in 1957 when the Gold Coast regime ended, new names were picked for the Ghanian regions by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's Administration to unify and for a new nation. A little bit of a history behind the name "Asante": the original word is pronounced "Esa-e-ti" or "Asa-e-ti". According to historical facts how it happened is when the people decided to find a new home elsewhere part of that group headed for the Western-North part of the country, also known as Sefwi (original word: "esa-a-wie": that is the fight/conflict has ended) on their arrival they came across the local people who were living in small communities as farmers asked what bring you here and their reply was "Esa-e-ti" meaning it's the conflict. Then after that they were welcomed and given a free land of their choice and never went back. IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE OF THIS STORY IT'S showcased ON "SEFWI STAR TV" but you might not be able to understand the language, I'm not sure if you do speak Sefwi. Feel free to comment and ask what you wanna know regarding Asante related histories. I may have the answer.👍

The people of Baoule are not Asantes they just have past history with the Oyoko Royal family and it's all because they found a town called Nsuta in where is now the Asante region in the olden days. They do not speak and understand the Twi language, just as the same as Otumfour cannot understand their language. The Baoules close relatives are as follow: Ayin, Aoyin, Sefwi, Nzema, Ahanta, Anyin-Juablin, Asante Dwaben, Evalue(that is a mixture of Ayin and Nzema language) Ayin-Brosa, Anufo which is the same as Chokossi and Tchakossi. Gonja language is a little bit related as well, but in all of these languages some Twi words do play a role which means that everyone is related and we are all one big family that is the beauty of all of this.😊

The Baoules are not Asantes because for one they do not speak any of the Twi language and Otumfour Osei Tutu II cannot understand what the Baoules are saying. What it is is that some Baoules and the Oyoko Royal family did have intermarriage and bared Royal children one of those Royal children being of 🤴 Princess Abla Pokou who later became their Queen. So I guess it makes sense to say that the Royal Baoule family in la Cote d'ivoire today are direct descendants of the Royal Oyoko family of Ghana. But the Baoule population or the people is not part of the Royal Oyoko family. Their close relatives are the Sefwis, Nzemas, Ayins, Ahanta, Brosa, Anufo, Anyin-Juablin, and Asante -Dwaben. But this is beautiful because half my family are also from Cote d'ivoire(the Anyin-Juablin people) but I am a pure Ghanian from the Bono region. I am proud to see this happening it reminds me of my own family, I miss them a lot.❤

they can go if they want to, they just won't go because they prefer to serve Asante more than Akwamu, Asante nkai wonkyi if you join us and you're loyal to the golden stool, when they came from Akwamu to Kwaaman, we treated them like one of our own and married and had children with them so now Adum is a mixture of Anum and original Ashantis.......wagyimi too much, use common sense, kwasia
